I’m Emma Freeman, a heart-led mixed media artist, teacher, storyteller, gatherer of beauty and Reiki Practitioner. Life, to me, is a practice of love: noticing, feeling, creating, and weaving together the threads of love that make up my life. I find joy in connecting deeply—with other humans, with beautiful textiles, paints and colors, with the grounded presence of trees and the magic of dragonflies, with soft and fun friendship, and all of the beauty of this world. Storytelling lives at the core of who I am: I love sharing my own stories and listening to the heartfelt stories of others, whether it’s a person in front of me or an old weathered cloth that I am touching. My path flows from curiosity, playfulness, joy, and quiet contemplation, guided always by the gentle and powerful light of love.

    I love to slow down, sink in and play with textiles, paints, fibers, color, stitching, collage, and nature. Creating art is a meditation practice for me that connects me to my heart, my community and the world in beautiful, surprising and meaningful ways.
