Having a sketchbook practice has helped me develop my drawing, collage and mixed media skills over the years as well as my style within each of those mediums. Sketchbooks are like journals, they are a private place to work out ideas, try things, explore, ask questions through different mediums and experiment.

There is something so inspiring about seeing an artistā€™s sketchbooks. They are intimate and authentic, the work hasnā€™t been polished or refined for an audience yet, it is a glimpse into their creative process that feels incredibly powerful and fascinating.

I hope you enjoy listening to me share some reflections on my sketchbook practice. May my journey support and encourage you on yours. You can see photos of some of my sketchbooks below.
